Meet Our Team

Kellie – Office Manager

Kellie has been with the practice for over a year. She enjoys assisting in all procedures, but especially in surgery. While she is not in the office she loves to root for the Eagles with her husband and son. She also likes to play with her Shihpoo puppy.

Lauren – Office Manager

Lauren completed a dental assistant program and started at our office in 2017. She loves all the employees she works with as they are a small, close office that genuinely cares about their patients. She helps with the success of this practice by continuing to help it grow, managing the team, keeping up with dental insurance, coding and helping all patients understand and utilize their insurance. Lauren has an 8-year-old daughter and outside of work, she travels to Disneyland as many times during the year as she can.

Shamika – Front Desk

Shamika joined our practice in August 2022. She is currently studying psychology at Rosemont College. Shamika enjoys meeting patients, working with a good team and having the ability to grow and learn new things. She helps our office by being encouraging, open and honest with everyone and building a peaceful atmosphere. Shamika has been married to her amazing husband for two years. Outside of the office, she works as a grief coach and has a business called Life. She also enjoys baking.

Joann – Dental Hygienist

Joann started at our office in 2018. She received her certificate in dental hygiene in 1984 from the University of Pennsylvania and her Bachler of Science in 1986 from Thomas Jefferson University. She loves how each staff member at Dental Arts Of Drexel Hill is very knowledgeable, caring, kind and devoted to providing patients with excellent, quality dentistry. Joann feels that her 38+ years as a dental hygienist has provided her with the ability to understand and treat all patients and all situations with good care and comfort. Joann grew up in Yeadon, Pennsylvania. She currently lives in Gilbertsville, Pennsylvania. She also has a home in Lewes, Delaware. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her dogs, going on long walks, bicycling, reading, completing projects around her homes, cooking and spending with at the pool and beach.

Elisa – Dental Hygientist

Elisa joined Dental Arts Of Drexel Hill in 2020. She graduated from Harcum College 2020 with her dental hygiene degree, winning a professionalism award and making the Dean’s list. Elisa loves being a part of a smaller and family-like office. She always puts her patients first and has an easy-going personality. Elisa loves being outside, hiking, biking, spending time with dogs and going to concerts. She was born and raised in Delaware county.

Shannon – Expanded Functions Dental Assistant

Shannon started at our office in July in 2021. She graduated from Harcum College in 2016 from their expanded functions dental assisting program. She loves working at Dental Arts Of Drexel Hill because everyone works together as a team and there is a close family feeling. Along with Dr. Kopa, Shannon loves getting to know every patient and their wants and needs to make them feel comfortable and look forward to coming back. She takes pride in her work and wants to continue to learn and grow in her field.

Shannon married her husband, Brendan, in November 2021 and they live in Drexel Hill with their dog and two cats. She has been a dancer for over 20 years, and she also teaches dance a couple nights a week after work.
